the parcel landed in Philippines on 5th Dec and was eventually delivered on 29th Dec. I had to visit two different post offices to try to find the parcel. I would have expected a decent courier service eg FedEx or DHL to have delivered the parcel within 3 days of landing in the country as the delivery address is less than an hour from manila.

Philippine post’s tracking number is a set of unique numbers attached to each package shipped, which is then used by handlers to track and trace the package’s destination and track the status of your package universally.

To be more specific, the Philpost tracking number consists of a unique set containing random numbers and alphabets, which are determined primarily by the package’s weight. Moreover, the PHLPost Express shipping options are typically characters beginning with EX and ending with PH. For example, a small parcel weighing less than 2 kg will typically start with RX and end in PH, whereas a more-than-2-kg item can begin with CX and finish in PH. Moreover, the PHLPost Express shipping options are typically characters beginning with EX and ending with PH.

How long does it take for Philippine Post (Philpost) to deliver packages?

The time taken for parcels to ship with PHLPost is dependent on these 4 factors: type of shipping service, parcels destination, size, and weight of the package. These four factors will determine the mode of transport PHLPost will use to ship.
Philpost Express is the fastest delivery service, offering delivery services within one week to any of the international countries it operates. In order to provide the quickest turnaround times on deliveries, this service is frequently supplied by aircraft.
