How Asendia USA Tracking Works
Tracking number
Start with the most useful thing Asendia does: its own tracking form has two fields, one for a tracking number and one for an original tracking number. That tells you something important — an Asendia parcel can carry two different identifiers over its life, and you may hold either one.
The number comes from the retailer you bought from, in their despatch email. Asendia doesn't publish a format.
And there's a real possibility worth naming: some Asendia services aren't tracked at all. Asendia says so plainly. If your number won't resolve anywhere, the retailer may simply have bought…
an untracked product.
Tracking status
Asendia doesn't publish status wordings, but it does explain how its tracking works, and that explanation is more useful than a glossary: tracking events are generated every time the label is scanned in the Asendia network. For delivery events, Asendia points customers to the final mile carrier's own tracking site.
So Asendia's trace covers the Asendia leg. Once the parcel is handed to a local carrier, the meaningful events live in that carrier's system — and Asendia's tracking normally shows you which delivery partner in your country has your parcel, which is the detail you need to go and look at.
After that handover it's the local carrier, not Asendia, who leaves a calling card if they miss you.
Supported services
e-PAQ Product Family:
e-PAQ Standard — low-cost international delivery via local postal networks; untracked.
e-PAQ Plus — budget shipping with milestone tracking updates (export, import, and delivery).
e-PAQ Select — fully tracked delivery for packages up to 30kg, handled by regional e-commerce delivery specialists.
e-PAQ Elite / Elite DPD — fully tracked express delivery operated by commercial logistics partners (including DPD across European routes).
e-PAQ GO — tracked out-of-home service delivering to automated parcel lockers and designated collection points.
If your tracking code returns no scan events, verify with your merchant whether the order was dispatched using the untracked e-PAQ Standard tier.
FAQs About Asendia USA Parcel Tracking
Whichever postal service or courier operates where the package is going — the destination country’s post in most cases. Asendia’s role is the international middle: collecting from US retailers, handling export and customs paperwork, and moving packages abroad, at which point a local carrier takes over for the doorstep. So a package leaving the US might finish with Royal Mail, Australia Post, Canada Post or a domestic courier, depending on the destination and what the retailer chose. That handover is worth spotting in your tracking history, because from then on every practical question — attempts, collection points, redelivery — belongs to the local carrier rather than to Asendia.
Because the next stretch genuinely produces very few scans. After leaving the facility, your package waits for a consolidated load, travels, and then goes through import processing in the destination country — and none of those stages reports much publicly. A week of quiet is common, longer during peak season. Rather than watching for movement that isn’t coming, look for the next meaningful event: an arrival or customs scan in the destination country, usually followed by a local tracking number when the delivering carrier takes over. That local number is where the rest of the story lives, and it typically appears on your order page. If nothing surfaces two weeks after the US departure, ask the retailer to chase it.
Deal with the request promptly, because a package waiting on payment doesn’t move and storage clocks can start running. The contact will come from whoever handles clearance in your country — usually the delivering postal service or courier — by email, text or a card, and it will say what’s owed and how to pay. Verify before paying: go to the carrier’s own site and enter your tracking number rather than following a link, since fake customs demands are among the most common scams worldwide. If the request is for a document rather than money, the retailer is usually the one who can supply it, so forward it to them straight away rather than trying to answer it yourself.
The merchant first, and it’s not a brush-off. Asendia’s customer is the retailer, not you, so the retailer is the party who can raise a formal enquiry and actually get an answer — and they’re the one who can refund or resend, which is usually the resolution you want. The final-mile carrier is worth contacting directly only once your package is in their hands and the question is about the delivery itself: a missed attempt, a collection point, a delivery you didn’t receive. Contacting Asendia directly rarely gets far. Bring the retailer both tracking numbers and the last confirmed scan, since that combination is what lets them open a useful enquiry rather than a vague one.
Longer than it looks like it should, because it isn’t one step. Your package queues three times over: once for a consolidated load to fill, once for transport, and once for export processing, with every one of those waits capable of adding days and none of them producing a scan. Several days is normal, and a week or more is unremarkable during busy periods or when flights are tight. What you’re watching for is the arrival scan in the destination country, which is when things generally speed up again. If a fortnight goes by with no movement from the hub whatsoever, that’s the point to ask the retailer to query it as the sender.
Your order confirmation answers this: look for a line covering duties, taxes or import charges. Many US retailers selling internationally now quote a landed price that includes them, in which case nothing further is owed and your package clears without interruption. Where the checkout showed only goods and shipping, expect an assessment on arrival — the delivering carrier will ask for the duty and tax owed, plus a handling charge of their own, before releasing it. Keep the confirmation either way, because it’s your evidence if a charge appears that shouldn’t. And if duties were prepaid but you’re billed anyway, raise it with the retailer rather than paying twice and hoping.
