Warehouse Services Inc. (WSI), a prominent nationwide third-party logistics provider, has announced its acquisition of Sky Trans Group Holdings, LLC, also known as Sky Transportation Services. This private acquisition is set to significantly impact WSI's operational reach and cross-border trade capacity.
Sky Transportation Services, headquartered in El Paso, Texas, is a certified regional carrier that specializes in regional truckload services, with a primary focus on dry-van freight movements across the Southwestern United States. Their expertise extends to cross-border trade between the U.S. and Mexico, making them a valuable addition to WSI's portfolio.
The acquisition of Sky Transportation Services is expected to bring a substantial boost to WSI's annual revenue, with projections indicating an addition of over $60 million in 2023. This financial enhancement will not only bolster WSI's position in the market but also enhance its cross-border capabilities, particularly in the U.S. to Mexico trade routes.
