TikTok Shop has officially announced Ninja Van as its logistics partner in 3 Southeast Asian markets, namely Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Ninja Van will provide a full-packaged logistics service for TikTok Shop owners and customers by picking up the parcels from sellers, sorting, and delivering them to the customers.

As of August 2022, TikTok Shop has been deployed in 6 Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. According to the latest report, they are starting to gain more market shares, from e-commerce giants in the region such as Shopee, Lazada and so on. Despite the early stage success, they are not rushing to set up TikTok Shop in the United States and United Kingdom markets.

“Rocket Internet’s 2011 entry to SEA sets the e-commerce wave in motion, accelerating our growth since the company’s establishment in 2014,” said Alvin Teo, Chief Partnerships Officer at Ninja Van Group. “Being there right from the start allows us a front-row seat to the e-commerce evolution in SEA. We’ve seen how SMEs adapted to the meandering flow of e-commerce, including the navigation of a pandemic, and we’ve always been by their side to take the hassle out of their parcels."

With more than a billion active users each month, TikTok has become China’s most valuable private company at a valuation of US$300 billion. In fact, the platform has been projected to reach US$12 billion in revenue by the end of 2022, a huge jump from last year's figure of US$4.6 billion.
