The Singaporean-based super app Grab has appointed Suthen Thomas Paradatheth as its new Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective 1st October. Suthen has been working at Grab since its founding stage, having served as the first technical lead in 2012. Two years ago, he was promoted to the position of CTO for the mobility, delivery and experience departments, overseeing the automation and platform excellence of the company.
During his time at Grab, he has successfully led over 1000 engineers, data scientists and technical program managers across different countries. In his new role as the Group CTO, he will be responsible for the implementation of tech initiatives across its delivery, mobility, and financial services businesses. His priorities include enhancing the company’s infrastructure to enable deep synergies between its services.
The board of directors fully trusts the capacity of the new Group CTO in fulfilling this mission:
“His strong track record in developing highly scalable and robust systems […] gives us confidence that he is the right leader to take our technical organization to the next level,” said Tan Hooi Ling, Co-founder of Grab.
