Retail Dive: Simon Pilots Innovative Search Tool for Shoppers
Simon Property Group has kickstarted testing rounds for their latest digital search tool, Simon Search. This new and innovative search platform aims to enhance the physical shopping experience by allowing mall shoppers to find in-stock items at participating stores within the mall before or during their visit.
Simon Search is made available to millions of shoppers through the Simon app and interactive directories located at Simon properties in the US. Participating retailers such as JCPenny, Banana Republic and Old Navy will also benefit from this tool through a boost in traffic to their stores as well as customer conversion. Search capability continues to be a key aspect in purchasing decisions and Simon’s real-life search tool breaks away from traditional methods of attracting customers to brick-and-mortar malls.
