PPTI: FM Logistic to Strengthen Omnichannel Logistics in Asia
In order to bolster omnichannel logistics across Asia, FM Logistic has set up a 70,000m² facility in India and a 20,000m² distribution center in Vietnam. FM Logistic is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider that ensures the optimization of the global supply chain. Leveraging its vast network of 26,000+ collaborators, the company aspires to create sustainable omnichannel supply chains that promote a more responsible consumption for everyone.
The multi-customer facility is located in Farrukhnagar,India – a strategic location that would enable greater access to consumer centers in the north of the country. This freshly-inaugurated building will provide a variety of logistics services, ranging from inventory management and handling of goods to the co-packing and distribution of parcels. Similarly, the urban distribution center in Di An, Vietnam will also be catered to the needs of omnichannel clients, with warehousing, picking and distribution all available under one roof.
Back in November last year, FM Logistic announced its new “Powering 2030” strategy, which is “designed to address profound changes in the retail industry and supply chain management”. As part of its US$158M five-year plan, the company has been investing heavily in automation across its markets, with over 60% of its new contracts focused on omnichannel logistics services to-date.
