Poshmark Launches Posh Shows, a New Live Shopping Feature in Canada and the US
Live auctions and collaborative selling are now possible for resellers of Poshmark through its new initiative, Posh Shows. Poshmark is famous for its community-orientated social experiences and Posh Shows will continue to elevate this brand image. Posh Shows allow sellers to live stream on the platform and reach their customers in a more dynamic way. However, this feature is only available in the United States and Canada for the time being.
"With Posh Shows, we are reinventing fashion resale for the next decade," said Manish Chandra, Founder and CEO of Poshmark. "Poshmark was designed from day one to create a shopping experience built around community and real-time social interactions, making it the ideal destination for live commerce. Since we began testing, our community has embraced this interactive and fun approach to shopping, energizing our marketplace, transforming the experience on Poshmark, and strengthening the human connections that are the foundation of our business."
The project has been piloted since the last quarter of 2022 and has seen huge success. Sellers have hosted over 100,000 shows on the platform and it leads to more than 4 million bids in live auctions placed by buyers. Posh Shows has transformed the businesses of many merchants, including @emrayge, @dealsonstyle, @shoplinabtq,...
"We saw a huge gap in live commerce in the U.S. – the need for a platform that could help anyone be successful with live selling by making it incredibly simple and fun," said Tracy Sun, Co-founder and SVP of Seller Experience at Poshmark.
Poshmark has a plan to develop new features for Posh Shows to improve users' experience. Since its foundation in 2011, Poshmark has served over 100 million users and generated over $8 billion in Gross Merchandise Value.
