Business Day: Jumia Partners 4PX for a Greater Presence Across Africa

Leading pan-African e-commerce platform Jumia has partnered with 4PX, a key 3PL player in the Chinese cross-border e-commerce market. Founded in 2012, Jumia aims to “improve the quality of everyday life in Africa” by helping consumers access millions of goods and services conveniently at affordable prices. Jumia consists of a marketplace with more than 80,000 sellers, a logistics arm that enables seamless deliveries, and a digital payments platform which facilitates transactions.
By leveraging the last-mile capabilities of Jumia on the continent, 4PX hopes to extend its reach across Africa. Delivery will begin in Nigeria, and then gradually expand to Kenya, Egypt, and Morocco in the coming months.
“Our collaboration with Jumia enables 4PX to strengthen our global network and enrich our service offerings. It also solidifies our brand image as one of the world’s strongest global logistic companies,” said Derek Wang, the Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Product Director at 4PX.
The partnership also allows Jumia to strengthen its position as the partner of choice in Africa for last-mile delivery and logistics services. “We are proud to open up our technology and services to 4PX and provide Chinese businesses with new opportunities to grow and access the African market,” stated Apoorva Kumar, SVP Logistics at Jumia Group.
“Our tailored logistics infrastructure, combined with physical assets, technology and strong local partners, have been developed to offer seamless last-mile coverage across our countries of operations,” Kumar added.
