As more customers now prefer to receive their parcels from delivery alternatives like parcel lockers and collection points while the lockdown restrictions are being lifted, Hermes, one of UK’s leading consumer delivery companies, has decided to partner with UK’s largest supermarket chain, Tesco, to provide ParcelShop services. The service will go live on September 6th.

Thanks to this deal, Hermes customers will be able to pick up their packages from Tesco’s convenience estates all over the UK. It will be much easier to receive and return packages.

“We’re really excited to announce our new partnership with Tesco, which will make Hermes ParcelShop services even more accessible to people across the UK, at a time when we know people are looking for maximum convenience and options for sending, receiving and returning their parcels. The last 18 months have demonstrated the importance of being able to meet ever-changing consumer demands when it comes to both online shopping and customer-to-customer sending, so we continue to invest in our infrastructure, technology and services to support the nation.” Kath Gill, head of ParcelShop Services at Hermes shared.

Currently, Hermes partners with over 6000 retailers and retail groups in the ParcelShop project. In 2022, the company goal is to allow 80% of the UK population access to a Parcel Shop within 10 minutes.
