Taeillo Expansion Financing 

Taeillo is a technology-enabled furniture firm that has raised $2.5M in "expansion" funding from Nigeria-based Aruwa Capital. Founded in 2018 by Jumoke Dada, the Nigerian startup locally manufactures furniture pieces and sells directly to its B2C and B2B customers via its e-commerce marketplace. Using the fresh capital, the company plans to cut down delivery times to about 3-5 days, scale its "Pay with Flexi" product and ramp up its hiring efforts to attain outstanding talent.

Kapu Seed Funding

Nairobi-based Kapu is a social commerce startup backed by leading African families and top global investors. In fact, the company has just come out of stealth in a $8M seed round co-led by Giant Ventures and Firstminute Capital, with participation from Founder Collective and a few others. Ever since inception in January 2022, the team has been working diligently on a B2B e-commerce service that enables consumers to buy groceries at lower prices.

SideUp Seed Funding

Enabled by a team of talented account managers, SideUp helps merchants to sell in 45 (and counting) countries. Following its recent $1.2M fundraise, the Cairo-based startup is looking to expand in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and two other countries by the end of 2023.

Teleport Venture Funding

Capital A’s logistics arm Teleport has closed a $50M capital raise from what they call “large institutional credit investors”. On top of inducting additional freighters, the funds will go towards building critical hubs in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. “Key to Teleport’s leadership in the next three years is the extension of our network coverage by air with the induction of A321F freighters starting in 1Q2023. We aim to easily connect manufacturers, exporters and e-commerce directly to any Southeast Asian market,” noted Teleport Founder & CEO.

Armed with a $1.6M pre-seed raise, the startup is now ready to scale its operations and explore other growth opportunities beyond Cairo.

Built to enable online retailers to improve both customer engagement and conversion rates, Pixyle AI’s technology has helped several brands digitize their shopping experience in more ways than one. According to TechCrunch, the €1M seed funding will be used to enhance its product offering and move into new verticals among others.
