Base Series A Funding

Hwy Haul Undisclosed Funding

Hwy Haul is a digital freight platform that aims to eliminate friction and maximize efficiency in fresh produce transportation. Established in 2018, the Silicon Valley-based startup connects shippers with reliable carriers and truckers all over North America. Using the $10M raised from its recent funding round, the company plans to digitize every step of the value chain and continue developing direct relationships with some of the largest distributors, wholesalers and retailers within the industry.

Skye Air Mobility Seed Funding

New Delhi’s drone startup Skye Air Mobility has closed a $1.7M seed round led by Chiratae Ventures, with participation from O2 Angels, Agility Ventures, Lets Venture among others. The newly acquired capital will support the expansion of its services to allow for more sustainable and more efficient delivery solutions across different verticals. As of today, Skye Air has operations in 8 cities across India with plans to cover 8 more in the next two years or so.

In addition to building its customer base, the $2Mseed investment will also allow the firm to accelerate technology development to further enhance user experience and automation.

Yaga Venture Capital Funding

Estonia-born second hand fashion marketplace Yaga has received €2.2M to take social e-commerce to emerging and fringe markets of Africa and Asia. In the last 6 months alone, the impact-driven startup has grown over 300% in  South Africa, with more than 30,000 stores and 20,000 daily users. Armed with the new funds from its first VC raise, Yaga is now ready to ramp up its platform development and reach new customers in its target markets.

According to TechCrunch, the African startup has bagged $150M in the latest Series B – five times the amount raised in its previous round in November.
