FedEx Offers Hong Kong Businesses Flexible Value-Added Service
FedEx Express, a division of FedEx Corp., has just launched its One-Stop Logistics Service in Hong Kong, aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). This additional service and solution may be implemented on top of any existing FedEx service to give Hong Kong companies a one-stop FedEx solution based on their budget. The service's focus on finding solutions helps small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) deal with the challenges of maintaining margins in the competitive e-commerce space.
Prolonged delivery lead times were identified as the largest pain problem for consumers (46%) in Hong Kong, according to FedEx's most recent E-commerce Report. Most internet orders take three days or more to arrive, which is far longer than most customers would want. The majority of small and medium-sized businesses (43%) are under the impression that online orders would be delivered to clients in two days or less. Customers(31%) also have a lot of trouble with product returns and (29%) finding things online.
FedEx's One-Stop Logistics Service combines the company's standard market-driven offerings with a variety of customizable value-added solutions, such as packing, shipping paperwork processing, cargo loading and unloading, and inventory management, all the way to domestic delivery. FedEx's supplementary services, which include cross-docking, standard or customized packaging, palletization/de-palletization, and labeling, are designed to accommodate the unique requirements of each customer.
“As cross-border e-commerce continues to grow, local SMEs face challenges in logistic and inventory management when expanding their business to overseas markets,” said Anthony Leung, Managing Director of FedEx Express Hong Kong and Macau. “The tailor-made FedEx One-Stop Logistics Service provides a smooth and convenient end-to-end logistics process, helping our local businesses, especially SMEs and start-ups, increase their competitiveness in the global marketplace by freeing them up to focus on growth," he added.
