USA Today: FedEx Appoints Raj Subramaniam as New CEO

Earlier this week, FedEx named Raj Subramaniam as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1st June this year. Company founder Fred Smith will be stepping down from the CEO position but will remain in the top leadership as the Executive Chairman. ​​“Because of his profound vision, he’s leaving a powerful legacy that has forever changed the trajectory of this company and this city. We will continue to owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for his contributions to Memphis,” said Greater Memphis Chamber President and CEO Beverly Robertson about Smith.

Subramaniam joined FedEx back in 1991 and is currently serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Subramaniam has held various marketing and leadership roles and became a member of the Board of Directors in January 2020. His international experience and keen business insights have contributed to the success of the company over the years.”FedEx has changed the world by connecting people and possibilities for the last 50 years.
