Estée Lauder and Google Cloud Partner to Enhance Consumer Experience through Generative AI
Google Cloud and The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (ELC), a renowned global leader in the prestige beauty industry, have unveiled an expanded strategic partnership. This collaboration builds upon ELC's early adoption of Google Cloud's technology to bolster its digital strategy. Together, they will explore innovative AI-driven solutions designed to gain deeper insights into consumer sentiment, drive R&D advancements, and elevate the allure of prestige beauty brands through exceptional digital experiences.
The heart of the partnership lies in Google Cloud's generative AI capabilities, which will enable real-time monitoring of consumer sentiment and feedback. This capability empowers ELC to proactively address consumer concerns, stay attuned to industry trends, and ultimately enhance consumer satisfaction.
ELC is also in the process of developing new generative AI business applications using Google Cloud's AI platform, Vertex AI, with the aim of streamlining operations and reducing operating costs while creating avenues for increased productivity. Furthermore, ELC is leveraging Google's large language model, PaLM 2, to gain a comprehensive understanding of consumer sentiment across various channels, including social media and call center operations.
"At The Estée Lauder Companies, we aim to delight consumers with transformative products and services. Through our collaboration with Google Cloud, we are creating high-touch, personalized experiences online that our consumers expect from every interaction with our brands," said Gibu Thomas, EVP Online, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. "By working with Google Cloud's generative AI technologies, our data science teams are unlocking new ways to serve our consumers."
For those interested in learning more about ELC's pioneering use of generative AI to enhance the online consumer experience, Google Cloud Next, Google Cloud's annual user conference, presents an opportunity. ELC will be featured in two sessions during the conference:
