Apex Insight: DPD Austria Now Offers 2,200 Parcel Pickup Points
Direct Parcel Distribution Austria GmbH (DPD Austria) currently has 2,200 pickup shops and stations spread all over Austria. With that, this leading parcel provider has already achieved its annual target in the first quarter of the year. The pickup points are positioned in such a way that 95% of the population can reach the nearest location within 15 minutes, according to their press release.
“Our focus is always on the best possible customer service, which is why it was strategically important for DPD to consistently invest in our network of parcel shops and parcel stations,” said Rainer Schwarz, Managing Director of DPD Austria. “Together with our cooperation partners, we were able to offer our customers a comprehensive service even in lockdown times and we continue to build this consistently,” he added.
Of the 2,200 pickup locations, around 1900 of them are parcel shops while the rest can be found in pharmacies, petrol stations and even wine shops. The company has endeavored to ensure that 85% of them remain open after 6pm and many on the weekends too. Owing to its partnership with A1, MYFLEXBOX and Storebox, 300 of them are also open 24 hours a day throughout the year for the added convenience of customers.
