In this episode, Heberto shared his humble beginnings with Nestle and his different roles with the organization. He shared the challenges he encountered, especially implementing best practices involving S&OP for the North and South American markets, and leading with different cultures. Upon his move to Gallo, a Unilever joint venture, he took the role as the Head of Operations in Brazil, where he is leading the transformation of the business. He also talked about the relevance of digital transformation of the supply chain through all his assignments. Herberto added that through all the transformations and digitalization surrounding the industry, it is still important to maintain and prioritize building good human relationships within the business.

Heberto Castro is the Head of Operations Gallo worldwide, is a joint venture with Unilever, for the last 4 years in Brazil. Previously, Heberto was working for ADM as Director of Operations in Brazil responsible for Supply Chain, Business Planning, S&OP, Customer Service, Distribution for almost 3 years also in Brazil. He started his career in Nestle and developed it in Supply Chain umbrella over 18 years in Venezuela and Brazil.
