FedEx Express has launched its international, day-definite shipping service in 14 additional countries in Europe: Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Romania, Slovenia and Switzerland. First launched in 2021, the FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) aims to enhance the company’s e-commerce capabilities.
Through FICP, e-commerce sellers can now ship products to customers in Europe in 1-3 days, North America in 3-4 days, and Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world in 3-5 days. Services like FICP allow businesses to maintain their competitiveness in the market by offering fast delivery at affordable prices. Moreover, FICP also gives customers the flexibility to modify the day and location of their deliveries, thus providing more convenience and visibility to the last-mile delivery process.
“With the latest extension of FICP to growth markets in eastern and northern Europe, FedEx Express is supporting businesses on their growth journeys by connecting them to more customers in global and intra-European markets,” said Wouter Roels, Senior Vice President of International Marketing at FedEx Express Europe. “Cross-border e-commerce is growing faster than domestic e-commerce with businesses are increasingly seeking more diversified, cost-effective solutions in order to meet consumers’ evolving needs and this new cross-border service, balancing speed with attractive prices, delivers just that,” added Brian DeCair, Vice President of Operations in Ireland and UK North at FedEx Express.
