Understanding your supply chain begins with comprehensive logistics reports and uncovering valuable performance insights from your logistics carriers. Our Logistics Intelligence feature is designed to fulfill all your reporting or analytical needs. With fully customizable charts and dashboards, you can drill down and get as specific insights as you desire or analyze delivery trends over a quarter over multiple carriers.
Indeed, the possibilities are endless!
But this process doesn’t need to be daunting. Sifting through complex data can be time-consuming, but we’ve got you covered with our standard Parcel Perform logistics reports. Available to Gold and Silver customers only, these reports help you cover a broad overview of logistics metrics and get the most out of your logistics KPIs.
In this article, understand what each report can be used for and how to best use it for your logistics reporting needs.
1. The Delivered Parcel report helps you analyze carrier delivery performance in seconds.
The Delivered Parcel report gives you a holistic overview of parcels that have been successfully delivered or had the first delivery attempt in the selected date range. You’ll get a quick snapshot of your carrier’s delivery performance either across carriers or destination.
This report consists of two key logistics metrics – the percentage of delivered parcels split by carrier or target destination.
Percentage of Delivered Parcels split by Transit Time per Carrier
Percentage of Delivered Parcels split by Transit Time per Destination
Use the Delivered Parcel report to:
- Track which carrier delivered the fastest transit time for each destination
- Find your average transit time by destination to estimate future deliveries
- Understand the percentage of parcels delivered by carrier or destination to plan future volumes
It’s important to look at this dashboard on a regular basis to monitor how well your carriers are performing and quickly address supply chain issues before they affect your end customer.
QUICK TIP: Remember that you can quickly download graphs from your respective report to either use for team meetings, sharing across organizational functions or to illustrate your regular logistics report.
2. All parcels that need your attention in a complete view with the Issue Report
Parcel issues need quick resolution. Whether it’s a hold up at customs during cross-border shipments or external delays, these need immediate attention.
With a bird’s eye view of your supply chain, you’ll be able to investigate these problems and turn them around.
You’ll also be able to delve into the reasons behind these issues. Are they due to recipients not being at home to collect the parcel or external factors like delays at customs?
This report consists of these two main charts, which you can split by carrier or issue type
Issue Percentages over time
Issue Type split by Carrier
QUICK TIP: Use these logistics reports together with our Issues Status column in the Parcel Overview to identify and prioritize issue parcels for closer monitoring.
Use the Issue Parcel report to:
- Analyze which carriers have the highest/lowest percentage of delivery issues across a given time
- Discover which issue types are affecting your carriers
- See a detailed breakdown of Issue types across carriers. Now you can see why your parcels are not reaching your consumers.
3. Parcel Count report gets you a complete overview of the total number of parcels in your Parcel Perform account.
The Parcel Count report may seem straightforward to interpret, but it serves a crucial role in analyzing your logistics performance.
With Parcel Count, you can view the overall distribution of your shipment load across different carriers. Weigh this distribution against your negotiated carrier rates and SLAs – now you have complete visibility of all your carriers’ performance.
More data and visibility on your parcel volumes can help your organization plan more accurately and in turn, give your customers a better delivery experience.
The report consists of:
The number of parcels per day/week/month of first track event.
The number of parcels split by the carrier, status or destination.
TIP: Did you know logistics data can even support your marketing team to plan their digital marketing and advertising campaigns? A view on your parcel volumes split by destination gives you real-time data on the actual locations of your customers and where your target audience is from.
4. Parcel Delivery Status reports help you analyze the delivery status of all your parcels across a given timeframe
This report complements the Delivered Parcel report with a singular view of all delivered parcels split by carrier and country. Analyze your logistics carrier’s service quality with a detailed breakdown of your parcel delivery status across time or trade lane.
The Parcel Delivery Status report consists of two charts:
Parcel delivery status
Parcel delivery status over time
This report is for you if you ever had questions about whether or how your parcels were delivered. For example:
- How many of your delivered parcels encountered issues during delivery, and were eventually resolved?
- Were these parcels returned to the sender?
- Is there any correlation between time of year and the number of parcels that had delays?
Quick Tip: Our search filters help you quickly bring up parcel data during a specific timeframe, or compare metrics across different times. Use your customizable dashboards to add and remove reports wherever you desire.
5. Discover the total transit time of all delivered parcels in your Parcel Perform account with the Transit Time report.
Today’s consumers desire fast shipping and are willing to pay more for priority shipping. It even influences whether customers make repeat purchases or not.
With the Transit Time report, you’ll get valuable insights into how fast your parcels take to be delivered. Get a broad overview with the Total Transit Time chart segmented by time for first attempted delivery or final delivery. We also have ‘excluding weekends’ version of the report to measure time in business days. You can find these charts by clicking the “Create Report” button.
Alternatively, you can also compare transit time split by carrier or destination to assess carrier performance. Understand which carriers are performing according to their SLAs or have the necessary information on hand in your discussions with your carriers.
Finally gain the transparency you need on your supply chain and make informed decisions.
Getting data on your logistics setup doesn’t need to be a complicated process. With our standard reports, you’ll be able to get started with understanding logistics in mere seconds without excessive tinkering. Spend less time tearing your hair out in frustration and more time making informed decisions.
