Southeast Asia’s e-commerce major, Lazada, has just announced its partnership with GrabExpress to offer same-day delivery services in Singapore. This deal will benefit both companies, with Lazada making the shopping experience more fulfilling and GrabExpress delivery partners earning more.
Following the soft launch, over 50 Lazada sellers have adopted the same-day delivery option including JBL, Aroma Truffle and Shine Korea. Lazada will continue to make the plan more accessible to more sellers, especially those selling electronics, household, and party supplies — goods that are more “popular” among customers.
Same-day delivery is on-trend and the demand for this service is gradually increasing. For that reason, online merchants want to make it available to boost the customers’ satisfaction and attract more new consumers. According to ReAnne Ong, APAC Digital E-commerce Manager at JBL:
“As more consumers come online, they are also looking for instant gratification with their purchases. Hence, offering same-day delivery has become a draw for customers and has helped us to grow our online reach.”
