Knot Standard, a leader in premium custom wear, has launched its very own platform called Custom OnDemand. The tool makes use of Artificial Intelligence(AI) measurement technology to create apparel that fits each and every customer. The service will first begin with shirts before expanding to suits, jackets, and pants later on.
Brooks Brothers, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom are among the first brands to adopt this technology. Custom OnDemand, coupled with Knot Standard’s Virtual Styling tools, will allow retailers to offer its clients custom clothing with no to minimal experience.
Many view this venture as one that will usher in a new era of retail: “Knot Standard’s Custom OnDemand platform is a first for retail – never before has custom clothing been possible for anyone, anywhere, without any special training, inventory, or infrastructure,” says Matthew Mueller, President and Co-founder of Knot Standard.
Similar to Knot Standard, Amazon has introduced a “Made for You” feature that lets users design custom T-Shirts. Meanwhile, Tailored Brands has integrated Bold Metrics’ Contactless Fit tool into many of its stores as well.
