Belgium-based department store chain INNO has introduced 3 newly renovated stores in Leuven, Liège and Sint-Niklaas. Customers can now enjoy a cup of coffee, food and other services while shopping at INNO in these various locations.

These refurbishments are part of a wider strategic transformation plan that included the establishment of an online marketplace last spring. The rebranding is expected to attract new customers while keeping the old feel that regular shoppers have become accustomed to.

“We are bringing more emotion and warmth into the stores. Shoppers should feel good in our stores. We divided the department store into worlds: each department has its atmosphere, with seating areas, plants, etc.,” explained Elly Zwinnen, Marketing and Merchandising Director at INNO.

In addition, INNO is working with many more partners to create an all-round shopping experience for customers. In Liège outlet, for instance, shoppers can stop by INNO for a cup of coffee, fruit juice or smoothie from BON. Another company on the list is Rouge Coquelicot, which provides flowers and houseplants for INNO. Customers can enjoy 100% Belgian artisanal products of chocolatier Arnaud Duroy in the same INNO store as well.

“We are reinventing the department store and making INNO a fascinating place to be for the Belgian public. INNO will be an inspiring environment stimulating all the senses,” said CEO Armin Devender.
